    Elizabeth Nunan

    CEO, LEAD CONSERVATOR

    Beth is the owner and lead conservator at Flux Art Conservation Corp. Working in private practice for over a decade, she has gained experience restoring an incredible variety of damages on increasingly unique media and large format artworks. As the former President of Alliance for Response New York City, Beth gained additional expertise in the area of disaster planning for collecting institutions, and provides disaster response coaching for major art museums across the country. Prior to relocating to Philadelphia, Beth worked with the talented conservators of Luca Bonetti, Corp. preserving and restoring modern and contemporary art collections, and as part of the impressive conservation team at the American Museum of Natural History. Her previous conservation experiences also includes internships at the Center for Puppetry Arts, the Bernice Pauahi Bishop Museum, the National Museum of the American Indian, the American Philosophical Society Library, and the Denver Art Museum. Beth is a graduate of the Buffalo State College Art Conservation Program, where she received a Masters in Art Conservation with a Certificate of Advanced Study

    Kaitlin Ammon

    STUDIO MANAGER/ADMINISTRATIVE ASSISTANT

    Kaitlin joined Flux Art Conservation as the Administrative Assistant and Studio Manager in March 2022. She holds an M.A. in Museum Education from the University of Arts and an M.S. in Leadership and Management from Western Governors University. Originally from Pennsylvania, she accepted the position of curator, and then site manager, of an historic site in Texas shortly after graduating from the University of the Arts. After over 10 years in Texas, it was time to move back home, bringing her back to the Philadelphia area. Kaitlin has experience in museum administration and management, interpretation and programming, and collections management.

    Katelyn Rovito

    ASSISTANT CONSERVATOR

    Katie joined Flux Art Conservation as a paintings conservator in September 2023 after completing a post-graduate fellowship in paintings conservation at the Chrysler Museum of Art. In her previous work for both private practices and institutions, Katie built a diverse portfolio treating murals, paintings, frames, and painted surfaces. She received her M.S. from the Winterthur/University of Delaware Program in Art Conservation (WUDPAC) and her BFA in Painting and Art History from Tyler School of Art, Temple University. During graduate school, she completed her third-year fellowship at the Cleveland Museum of Art, researched orpiment degradation at the Rijksmuseum, and studied microscopy at Colonial Williamsburg. Pre-program, she held multiple positions at Winterthur Museum within the paintings, furniture, and objects conservation labs. Katie is very happy to be back in her hometown of Philadelphia working at Flux.

    Leah Aretz

    CONSERVATION TECHNICIAN

    Leah joined Flux Art Conservation as a Conservation Technician in March 2023. She graduated from Marist College with a B.S in Conservation Studies in 2020. She was previously a preventative conservation intern and currently holds a preventative conservation position at the Barnes Foundation. Recently, she joined Ki Cultures Communications and Sustainability in Conservation chapters as a volunteer conducting research and outreach regarding sustainable practices in the cultural heritage sector. In her free time she enjoys knitting and creating reproductions of historic paintings.
